Alpine’s freestyle snowboarding programs are designed for athletes who want to take their riding to the next level. The unique terrain, including Ontario’s last remaining halfpipe, provide a variety of environments to support progression as children grow through the pathway.
The 2026-27 High-Performance Programs Guide will be available in June, alongside registration. The complete Programs Guide will be available in September.

GROMS Freestyle Snowboard Team | 8-15
An introduction to fun and friendly skill development in the terrain park and halfpipe in preparation for entry-level Slopestyle (jumps and rails) competitions held at clubs across the Escarpment. Terrain park features include, but are not limited to: rails, slide boxes and jumps of various sizes.

High Performance Freestyle Snowboard Team | 10-17+
This program is for athletes who are ready to graduate from the GROMS series of events to compete at the provincial level. The skill level required for the High Performance Freestyle Snowboard Team is performing 360s confidently in both directions and attempting 540s over medium jump features. On rails and boxes, athletes must confidently be able to slide both frontside and backside.
The High Performance Freestyle Snowboard Team is made up of athletes from all Escarpment clubs. The team will train at these clubs and take advantage of the best parks and training environments. The training and events schedule will be followed as closely as possible, but may change depending on the condition of the parks.

Intro to Freestyle Snowboard | 7-14
This weekend program is designed for riders confident with intermediate snowboard skills and seeking development on all terrain while learning basic freestyle skills. Terrain park experience is not required, but participants must be able to ride terrain on the North and get on and off the chair without assistance.
This program will split time between developing and improving fundamental snowboard skills related to balance and confidence on intermediate/advanced terrain and learning the basics for freestyle snowboarding and riding in the park.
*This program does not compete in GROMS events.
