Nine Racers Competing at the World Cup This Weekend

This Saturday and Sunday, nine Alpine members will be competing at the VISA FIS PGS World Cup!

The Legends du Nord event is returning to Val Saint-Côme for the second season, where Alpine will once again be heavily represented in the field. Of the 17 Canadians qualified for the event, 9 are current or former members of our snowboard racing program!

Women:

This will be the first World Cup start for Sienna Cader and Cole Thomson, and it marks the first race back on home soil for Ben Heldman since competing in the Milano Cortina Olympics in February. Catch the action live on CBC & CBC Gem for both qualifiers and finals.

Saturday March 14: PGS Qualifiers – 10:00, PGS Finals – 2:00
Sunday March 15: PGS Qualifiers – 9:00, PGS Finals 1:00

Pipe Jam & Ride For Jake

Join us this Saturday! From seasoned park and pipe vets to first-time skiers and snowboarders alike, the annual Pipe Jam & Ride For Jake is back.

Whether you’re pushing yourself each run in the halfpipe, or just lapping with friends through the park, come throw down your best tricks. Plus, there’s a ton of great prizes up for grabs in the bib draw!

At 2:15pm everyone will meet at the top of the park for a lap to celebrate the legendary Jake Burton, a pioneer in snowboard culture! All are welcome. 

Tickets:
Members: $35 +HST
Non-Members: $75 +HST

Open to all ages, all skill levels, and all disciplines (ski & snowboard). Minors must be accompanied by an adult on the day of the event. Ticket sales are final and non-refundable. 

Lift tickets (non-members) and bib pickup will be available in the Programs Office on the lower level of the clubhouse on Saturday, March 14.

9:00-11:30 | Park & Pipe Laps
12:45 – 2:00 | One Hit Wonder Pipe Comp for “King” & “Queen” of ’26 & Bib Draw for Prizes
2:15 | Meet at Top of the Park #RideOnJake
2:30 | Group Lap for Jake Burton Carpenter
3:00 | Après back at the clubhouse
