I am excited to welcome everyone back to the hill and I hope you are all getting excited to be on snow! It’s going to be an awesome year for snowboard racers everywhere, with Team Canada gearing up for our strongest Olympics contingent since 2014, all the way down to our exciting local Ontario Winter Games and Jr. Nationals competitions at Horseshoe Valley Resort. Whether you’re new to racing or a veteran of the sport, this season has something exciting for you, and our coaches can’t wait to support you on that journey.

See you on the hill shortly,

Rich Moss
Head of Snowboard Racing

Snowboard Racing Training Schedule

For all snowboard racing programs, training will begin Saturday, December 27 from 9:30am-3:00pm.

Every morning, teams will meet in the Athletes’ Room, with their gear on, ready to be on snow.

On our first day on December 27, meet our coaching team in the Athletes’ Room before heading out to the hill. Coaches talk with them about goals, experience, and what they hope to get out of this season.

Season Weekends:

Beginning January 10, the all snowboard racing programs will run from 9:00am-3:00pm.

Coaches:

Our coaches this year include Danielle Courchesne, Magnus Hambleton, and Rich Moss, and they are happy to answer any questions you may have about snowboard racing at Alpine!

Interested in Trying Snowboard Racing?

Fun fact, no special equipment or experience is required for snowboard racing!

Snowboard racing is beginner friendly: it’s just turning, with a few extra obstacles in the way. If you aren’t registered, but would like to try it out over the holidays, please reach out to our programs team! If you have any questions, you can also come by the Athletes’ Room on Saturday, December 27 to speak to our coaching team. Â
