Every March, Alpine Ski Club hosts one of its most anticipated events of the season: Club Championships. Featuring ski and snowboard racing, ski cross, boardercross, freestyle competitions and more, it’s a high-energy weekend that brings the entire Alpine community together. Whether you’re part of a recreational program, a competitive program, or just love getting out on the hill, all members were encouraged to join in the fun.

It’s a celebration of shared passion, competition, brought together by a love of skiing and snowboarding, set against the stunning backdrop of Ontario’s Blue Mountains. Whether you’re racing, cheering from the sidelines, or celebrating the accomplishments at après, this weekend captures the heart of what it means to be part of the club with some of the best skiing and snowboarding Ontario has of offer.

Club Championship weekend isn’t just about the fastest racers or the biggest tricks, it’s about family, fun, and friendly rivalry. Members of all ages participate in a variety of events, from classic slalom skiing and giant slalom races, to the adrenaline-pumping excitement of ski cross and freestyle. It’s a chance for young skiers and snowboarders to show off their skills and for seasoned veterans to relive their racing days. From age 3 to 88, or anywhere in between, there was a category for everyone.

Snowy Standouts: Ski Cross & Night Dual Events

One of the highlights of the weekend is always the ski cross and boarder cross competition. With its banked turns, rollers, and head-to-head racing format, this event delivers edge-of-your-seat excitement for participants and spectators alike. Alpine continues to lead the way in providing world-class facilities and thrilling experiences for its members.

The night skiing action was another event that couldn’t be missed. The course lit up later in the day with racers flying side by side, cheered on by a roaring crowd at the base. It’s fast, fun, and fiercely competitive, showcasing everything from precision carving to playful rivalries between our junior racers.

Gates, Grins, & Glory: Building Lifelong Memories

At Alpine, the Club Championships are not just a race weekend, they’re a yearly tradition, woven into the fabric of the club’s culture. It’s about more than podiums and personal bests. It’s about watching kids cross their first finish line, seeing parents race just like their children, and celebrating milestones with teammates and lifelong friends.

From the cheers echoing at the base to the high-fives at the top of the course, every moment contributes to something bigger: a shared experience that connects generations. These are the memories that define a season, full of pride and joy. And they’re made even more meaningful by the sense of belonging and energy that Alpine is known for.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about how fast you ski or board, it’s about the memories made with who’s there cheering you on.
