RAD Halfpipe Camp & Friday Training

Riders Advancement and Development Program Halfpipe Camp  

Join us Feb. 13, 20, & March 6, 12 for a halfpipe training opportunity with RAD Coach Trevor Niblett. He will be leading morning and afternoon training sessions with the goal to introduce halfpipe for athletes and coaches.     

For Alpine members, it is free to register for those in Friday Training – please note the Friday Training rate applies. All athletes must be accompanied by a coach.

As a part of Friday Training this week, riders will take part in the RAD Camp! Please be sure to register your rider for the camp, as well as contact Steve to register for Friday training. A minimum number of athletes is required in order for Friday Training to run, so early registration is appreciated.

All athletes also need to register for a limited activity membership through Canada Snowboard. Visit the link below for more info and registration:

Retro Night Rail Jam

The 12th annual Night Rail Jam returns this Saturday, and this year we’re going RETRO! Special throwback gear strongly encouraged. The Arrowhead Chair will be operating for participants to offload at mid-station. Badges or lift tickets are mandatory.  

This event is open to all, whether you’re a seasoned freestyler or just learning. Have guests with you this weekend? Non-members are welcome to join as well. 

Where: Lower Alpine 
First Heat: 4:45-6:00pm – Freeski Training Squad/SB Development Team and Beginner/Intermediate Freestylers 
6:15pm: Bib Draw for First Heat 

Second Heat: 6:15-7:30pm – GROMS/OEST and Advanced Freestylers 
7:45pm: Bib Draw for Second Heat 

Event Entry Fee: $30 (members), $40 (non-members) 

Add on dinner, with proceeds going to our annual Programs Fundraiser!

$50 for the event and dinner, $60 non-members for the event and dinner

Dinner includes a delicious pasta bar, salad bar, and a takeaway retro candy box! Dinner will be served from 5:00-7:00pm. 

Not looking to compete? Dinner tickets can also be purchased for $30 (for those 5 and under $10).

Best Trick Jam

This Sunday from 1:30-2:30pm we will be having our 2nd Best Trick Jam for skiers and snowboarders. All are welcome!

The feature this week will be a jump in the North Terrain Park.

One ski coach and one snowboard coach will judge, and the winner of the Jam will earn points for the end of the year prize. If you have any questions, please contact Steve.   

Fun & Glory Race Schedule

Please note that there has been a slight adjustment to the start time for Sunday’s SL race on Kent, snowboarders will be beginning at 1:15pm and skiers are estimated to begin at 1:30pm.

Feb. 15: SL on Kent 1:15pm
Mar. 1: GS on Kent 1:00pm 
Mar. 8: Club Champs
