Skier Goes Sideways

This season we introduced the Skiers Going Sideways program, and it was a fantastic success! We welcomed 15 adult skiers who were curious to try snowboarding, supported by five experienced adult snowboard instructors who guided them through every step of their new journey.

Three free classes were offered, creating a low pressure and welcoming environment, and all participants came away smiling, confident, and proud of what they accomplished. Some skiers continued on to the nine week adult program, while others decided it was a one time experience, but everyone had the opportunity to try something new. The program helped build confidence, community, and a deeper appreciation for snowboarding at Alpine. We hope even more skiers will join us next year and test their snowboard mettle. Way to go everyone!

Instructors: Kassidy, Howard, Jonni, Chris, and Steve
