Masters Interclub Update from Tony Petrella:
Hope everyone had a fun day either racing at Blue or skiing at Alpine. Congrats to the Alpine team for another great win at Blue Mountain. It’s our second win of the season and as a result, we are the winners of the Hetherington Cup for the third season in a row. Great work everyone!
The race at Blue included a total of 102 racers from Alpine, TSC/DG/MH, Jozo Weider, Caledon and Craigleith. Alpine was first with 425 points, TSC/DG/MH second with 388 points, Jozo third with 387 points, Caledon fourth with 370 points and Craigleith 5th with 204 points.
Full race results are now available on the interclubski.org website.
A few highlights of the day include:
- Alpine swept the top three fastest males with Nick Balan taking first, Graham Ramshaw taking second, and Will Stewart taking third fastest male.
- Alpine also swept the top three fastest females with Emma Williamson, Alex Thayer, and Emily Gwin taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd fastest respectively.
- The top 3 point getters for the guys were Jeff Parr (29 points), Brian Daub and Karol Slabon tied for second with 28 points, and Rob Hawton in third with 26 points.
- The top ladies point getters were Sheri Ramshaw (24 points), Linda Leistner and Emma Williamson tied with 22 points, and Alex Thayer with 21 points. Great job ladies!
Congrats to all those who participated – job well done!
Next stop is the final Interclub race of the season – the Ridge Cup Race at Alpine on Saturday February 28th. The race will be open to all the Clubs on the ridge and should be an epic event.
Hope everyone has a great week.
Cheers,
Tony
