Fun & Glory Calcutta Auction

How Does the F&G Calcutta Work?
Betting is open to all members who wish to participate (whether you are racing in Fun & Glory or not).  You can purchase a team as an individual, a group or get together with your new team mates and submit your bid. Teams will be available for purchase starting January 4.

The amounts paid for the teams by the winning bidders will be put into a pool. Winnings will be awarded based on team results at the end of the season.  Prize money will be awarded as follows; 10% will be paid to the ski programs fundraiser, 50% will be paid to the purchaser of the winning team, 25% will be paid to the purchaser of the second place team and 15% will be paid to the purchaser of the third place team.

This year the Calcutta Auction will be conducted entirely online via email submission. There will be two competitive rounds:

  • Round 1: Opens January 4 and closes January 7 at midnight.
  • Round 2: Opens January 8 and closes January 11 at midnight (the day before the first race).

Bids can be submitted to Erin at ehindle@alpineskiclub.com starting January 4, 2025.

Current highest bids from Round 1 will be shared and posted online on January 8 to ramp up the competition for round 2.  Round 2 bidding closes at 11:59 pm on January 11.
