Race Bulletin

Helpful tips for reading hillspace;

SL is Slalom, GS is Giant Slalom and PSL is Paneled Slalom.

For athletes U12 and older;
If training SL, athletes require SL skis and Chin, Pole or Shin Guards.
If training GS, athletes require GS skis (if they have them) and do not need any SL protection.
If training PSL, athletes require SL skis but do not need Chin, Pole or Shin Guards.

Friday Training

Be sure to look at the hillspace linked at the top of the page for your age group’s Friday Training discipline.

Friday trainings are optional. We ask that you please use the sign up form below to let us know if your racer will attend a Friday Training by no later than the Wednesday prior each week. Even if you purchased a package of trainings we still ask that you sign up each week so we can account for attendance.

U12 All-Inclusive and OCup athletes do not need to complete this form, but are requested to let their coaches know of their attendance.

Friday training runs from 9:15-3:15 with lunch from 11:30-12:30. Lunch is subject to change due to conditions and hillspace.

Coaches’ Corner

Making the most of a training day:

  • Support your friends throughout the day and stick around for “Athlete of the Day” awards and cheer on your teammates.
  • Wearing your downhill suit for training (U12 and older, every day) will help you feel more comfortable on race day.
  • Make sure you keep your skis waxed and sharpened for training days as well as races.
  • Focus on small achievable goals. Breaking up difficult challenges into smaller chunks will help you measure and celebrate progress throughout the day.
  • Take a break to help keep your energy up and stay warm.
  • Have fun throughout the day. Respect the process. Development and progress do not happen immediately. Be a student of your craft.

Courtesy on the ski hill:

  • #1 is Safety – Respect Slow Zones! Especially near ABC and Challenge during events.
  • Please remember that when you are at another club for a race that you are representing your club and your province and should be respectful to all resort operators and staff that you interact with.
  • Always put your skis and poles on the rack when you go inside.
  • Clean up after yourself, leaving no garbage behind.
  • Stay respectful and organized in lift lines, and follow operator instructions.
  • Make sure you leave boot bags, jackets, or other gear in the proper place and out of the way whether inside or out on the hill.
  • Be mindful of others on the hill; give space when passing or starting runs.
  • Make sure you help clean up the training environment at the end of the day.
  • Thank race crew volunteers after events – they make races possible!
