Coaches’ Corner
We have had a great start to the season so far with loads of snowmaking on our key runs at the club!
All our race teams have had some great technical free skiing and gate training so far this season despite a little rain. The snow coverage and grooming has been amazing thanks to our snowmaking and operations crew. All of our race teams have now had 5 days of training and are prepared for our Race Simulation and Skills Assessment on Jan. 2. The Race simulation will consist of two Paneled Slalom runs in the morning for U8 and U10 on Kent and then 2 Paneled Slalom runs in the afternoon for U12 and older on Challenge.
Junior Race Simulation & Skills Assessment
Thursday, January 2
U8 and U10 racers to meet at programs flags at 9:45am sharp. Coaches will pick up and distribute bibs at morning drop-off. U8/U10 PSL Race Simulation on Kent at 10:00am. Skills assessment in the afternoon starting after lunch at 12:45pm.
U12, U14 and U16 will meet at usual time and run their skills assessment in the morning, with the U12/U14/U16-18 PSL Race Simulation on Challenge at 1:00pm
The data from the Race Simulation and Assessment, plus other coaches’ data will be used to fine tune our groups within “U categories” for U8 and U10 teams. Our U12 and older teams will be grouped based on the brackets they are racing in. Season teams will be announced January 3.

Sidecut Tuning Clinic
Sidecut Tuning will be at the Club on Thursday, January 2 at 2:00pm in the Arrowhead Room. Stop by for a tuning education workshop open to all.
Parent Information Sessions
We held our parent information sessions for the racing program on December 28 & 29. If you couldn’t make it, don’t fret, we’re sharing the presentations below. Should you have any questions, please reach out.
Friday Training
The first optional Friday Training date is Friday January 10. Please use the sign-up form below to register for a Friday Training and/or to purchase packages of training. Packs of 4 or 9 are available.
Single day: $80
4-pack: $260
9-pack: $450
If you are in U8 Training Squad, U10 Weekend, U12 Weekend, U14 Weekend, or U16-18 Weekend, you have the option to redeem dates from a training pack that you have purchased through your member account, or may request to purchase a training pack or additional dates through this online form.
Adult Racing
Thanks for attending our Fun & Glory Time Trials and the Adult Racing Social this past weekend. We’re looking forward to kicking off a great season of adult racing at Alpine!
Fun & Glory Training
Fun and Glory training will start this Sunday, January 5 from 9:30-11:30 on Lower Parade. Training will continue weekly at the same time.

Fun & Glory Dual After Dark
Join us on February 22 for the 1st annual Fun & Glory Dual Slalom under our new lights starting at 4:30pm! This exciting new event will run in a head-to-head format, complete with an instant elimination round, and timed finals for the ultimate bragging rights going to the male and female winners!

This year, the Calcutta auction is moving online!
This is your chance to engage in some fun online bidding for your F&G team all in support of our Alpine programs. Open to all members, whether you race down the slopes or cheer from the sidelines.
