Family Day Fun Race

Join us Monday, February 17 for a FUN family day race for parent/child teams to race together. Sign-up opens this Saturday, Feb 8 on the clipboard outside of the Programs Office starting at 12:00pm. In-person registration only. Registration will be open February 8 @ 12:00pm to February 15 @ 4:30pm.

Coaches’ Corner

Hello Ski Racing Fans, 

This past week we heard from everyone’s favorite local groundhog Wiarton Willie that he predicts an early spring. I am not sure I believe him as we continue to get more snow and very cold temperatures. I expect we will still have great conditions late into March. 

Congratulations to all our racers last week as we saw some very impressive results from all our age groups! This past weekend’s results are highlighted by Piper Pitman and Minka Von Heyman winning U12 events on home turf as well as Reese Bennett placing 5th at a U16 OCUP GS at Osler! Please review all the latest results at the bottom of the page. 

Also don’t forget to check the hillspace assignments so you know what discipline and where everyone is training this weekend. 

Remember that this Saturday is our Alpine Programs fundraiser! Please come out and support your Alpine Programs with our live and silent auctions in the clubhouse, along with the launch of our 51/49 Split Raffle.

March Break Camp Options

After a season with lots of milage, this is the best time for our racers to go “back to the drawing board”, to refine their racing skills and re-focus to build muscle memory for future success.

Below are our many options for March Break training camps:

Friday Training

Please look at the hillspace linked at the top of the page for your training hill and discipline.

Friday trainings are optional. We ask that you please use the sign up form below to let us know if your racer will attend a Friday Training by no later than the Wednesday prior each week. Even if you purchased a package of trainings we still ask that you sign up each week so we can account for attendance.

U12 All-Inclusive and OCup athletes do not need to complete this form, but are requested to let their coaches know of their attendance.

Friday training runs from 9:15-3:15 with lunch from 11:30-12:30. Lunch is subject to change due to conditions and hillspace.

Alpine Programs Fundraiser

This year, join us in supporting Alpine’s on-hill programs further with fundraising initiatives happening all season long! The main event is Saturday, February 8, with our annual live and silent auctions but there are plenty more ways to get involved and make a difference throughout the season. Every contribution helps us elevate our programs and create unforgettable experiences on the slopes.

Fun & Glory Training:

Join us for training ahead of your next race! We will be training SL this Friday, February 7 from 9:30am-12pm on Kent. Sign up by emailing raceadmin@alpineskiclub.com.

We will be training Sunday 9:30-11:30am with coaches Derek and Sarah.  Check hillspace for your training hill and discipline.

Fun & Glory Dual After Dark

Join us on February 22 for the 1st annual Fun & Glory Dual Slalom under our new lights! This exciting new event will run in a head-to-head format, complete with an instant elimination round, and timed finals for the ultimate bragging rights going to the male and female winners!

Each racer will do a minimum of 2 runs. One on the Red course and one on the Blue course. The top will be calculated and go head-to-head.

Our parameters for race results are to share any Alpine athlete who places in the top 10 (top 20 for OCup).
Please share photos of your athlete’s podium by email.
