We are looking to collect photos for our end of season slideshow to be shown at the awards ceremony on Sunday, March 2 at 2:00pm in the Athletes’ Room. If you have photos of your athlete or their team please share in the DropBox link below.
Club Championships
Ski Club Championships are next weekend, March 1-2!
U8-U19 racers are automatically registered. Those not in Racing Program can sign up in the Programs Office by February 27 for the March 1 races.
Bib Pick-up: Bibs will be distributed by coaches for program racers. Non-Program racers can pick up in the Programs Office from 8:30-9:15am.
Saturday, March 1:
Jr. Club Championships:
U6 on Lower Alpine @ 10:30am
U8/U10 on Kent GS @ 9:30 am, SL @ 12:30 pm
U12-U19 on Challenge GS @ 10:00 am, SL @ 1:00 pm
*Re-runs in the case of a DNF or DSQ will take place at the end of the race after all racers have gone.
Night Dual:
Juniors will qualify for the Night Dual based on Club Championship SL run results from the day.
U8-U18 Top 16 Female & Top 16 Male from each category will qualify.
All heats will be single elimination. Small and Big Final will be double elimination.
U8 / U10 / U12 / U14 / U16 Coaches will notify athletes of participation by end of day.

Ski Cross Club Championships:
For U8-U19 racing athletes only. All athletes must be represented by an Alpine coach.
*Rec. sign-up for Ski Cross on February 23 is open in the Programs Office until Saturday, Feb. 22 @ 3:30pm
Inspection: 9:15-9:45am
Qualifiers: 10:00am (one run)
Finals: 1:30pm
Awards for both events: Sunday, March 2 at 2:00pm in the Athletes’ Room.
Adult Club Championships:
Adults on Challenge GS @ 10:00am, SL @ 1:00pm
Bibs can be picked up in the Athletes’ Room from 8:30-10:00am.
Adult Awards will take place in Fireside Lounge at 3:00pm.
CSIA Ski Instructors Courses
Do you, or a family member, aspire to become a certified Ski Instructor? Alpine is pleased to be hosting a variety of Canadian Ski Instructor’s Alliance certification courses over the March Break. Why not share your passion for skiing with others at the Club we love?!

51/49 Split Tickets
51% of the proceeds go towards our programs fundraising efforts, with the remaining balance going to the lucky winner of the draw!
The current total pot is at $4,990!
Tickets launched on Feb. 8 and are available until the draw takes place on March 2.
Basket Raffle
For those putting together team baskets for the Basket Raffle on March 1-2 at the Club, we ask you to please drop off your completed basket between Feb. 17-March 1 in the Programs Office. Please email raceadmin@alpineskiclub.com to approve your basket theme or if you have any questions.
March Break Camp Options
After a season with lots of milage, this is the best time for our racers to go “back to the drawing board”, to refine their racing skills and re-focus to build muscle memory for future success.

Adult Racing
Fun & Glory Training:
Join us for training ahead of your next race! We will be training GS this Friday, February 21 from 9:30am-12pm on Challenge. The fee will be $45 for the session. Sign up by emailing raceadmin@alpineskiclub.com.
We will be training this Sunday 9:30-11:30am with coaches Derek and Sarah. Check hillspace for your training hill and discipline.

Rescheduled Fun & Glory Race & Club Championships:
With the significant snowfall and our priority on safety, Alpine had made the decision to cancel last weekend’s race for Fun & Glory.
As a result, the final Fun & Glory race will now be combined with the Club Championships on Sunday, March 2, at 10:00 AM on Challenge.
Race Format:
- There will be a ski & snowboard course set up for the event.
- Run 1: Your time will count towards both Club Championships (ski only) and Fun & Glory.
- Run 2: This will be for Fun & Glory only.
All Fun & Glory participants will automatically be registered for Club Championships this year so there will be no extra registration on your end.
Adult Club Championships on Sunday, March 2:

Fun & Glory Dual After Dark
Join us on February 22 for the 1st annual Fun & Glory Dual Slalom under our new lights! This exciting new event will run in a head-to-head format, complete with an instant elimination round, and timed finals for the ultimate bragging rights going to the male and female winners!

5:15pm Race Start
Fun & Glory racers, please use your season bibs.
Each racer will do a minimum of 2 runs. One on the Red course and one on the Blue course. The top will be calculated and go head-to-head.
Results
Our parameters for race results are to share any Alpine athlete who places in the top 10 (top 20 for OCup).
Please share photos of your athlete’s podium by email.
